This brand had a co-manufactured product which it wanted to produce in-house because of its success. The product featured a distinctive ridged shape and a unique ingredient blend of micro-pellets and dried vegetable pulses. A strict requirement was set: the project would only be approved if product parity could be achieved.
To replicate the shape, Incomec designed and manufactured a custom die set, leveraging our extensive experience in design and manufacture of compression popping die sets. We then collaborated intensively with the prospect’s R&D team, working hands-on with their specific ingredient mix to fine-tune the product characteristics during multiple trial sessions at our facilities.
The samples produced during this process were thoroughly tested, ultimately achieving parity in taste, texture, and appearance. Shortly thereafter, the prospect became a valued customer and has since expanded their production capacity several times.
